Info

New bunny owner information - a little bit of a head start in bunny knowledge:

Baby rabbit nails need to be filed. (When they are older use a small nail clippers.)
Mini Rex get 1/3 cup of food per day.
Mix in some of our food for the first few days so as not to upset the bunny's stomach.

Males make better pets than females.
They are calmer and more cuddly.
They are cuter as adults.

If you keep 2 rabbits together, they will be more independent and less willing to hang out with humans.
Rabbits naturally live on their own.

Wire floored cages are much better than flat bottom cages.
They are easier to clean.
The bunny is less likely to get sick or infected.
The bunny itself will not SMELL.
Some people say that the wire hurts the bunny's feet.
It doesn't, but they do like to have mats or blankies for sleeping or napping.

Rabbits do not have pads on their feet the way cats and dogs do so they rely on the fuzz on their paws to protect their feet. Mini Rex do not have as fluffy feet as most other breeds, and are prone to get sore hocks (callused or sore feet). To avoid this, or fix it, keep nails trimmed short and keep a clean fluffy layer of grass or shavings in the cage (over wire bottom).

Mini Rex are about 3½-4½ pounds – the perfect size for a pet!
Mini Rex have fur that is so soft it feels like velvet.
